Born in Valcamonica, in a small village in the Brescia mountains.
Graduated in Economics, she is a manager with over 30 years of experience in national and multinational companies, public and private, listed and non-listed. She has developed her career as Sales & Marketing Director, Business Unit Director and then as Chief Executive Officer, both in service companies and in industrial production companies. She has launched and managed start-up from green field, business development and downsizing projects, and has extensive experience in crisis management.
She was CEO of Trenord - the second Italian railway company owned by Trenitalia and Ferrovie Nord, with 2,300 trains per day and 4,300 employees – and President of TILO - a Swiss company owned by the Swiss Federal Railways and Trenord, which manages cross-border transport.
She was a Board Member and Chairman of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee of Italgas - the Italian leader in gas distribution - and a Board Member of CAL Concessioni Autostradali Lombarde, a company owned by ANAS and Infrastrutture Lombarde, which manages the most relevant motorway network of northern Italy. Since 2020 she has been a Board Member of IN.BRE. - a company active in the design, construction and management of hydroelectric plants in Italy - and of TREVI Finanziaria Industriale, world leader in subsoil engineering for special foundations, tunnel excavations, ground consolidation, and production of specialized machinery and equipment.
She was recently appointed Board Member of CIIM EurAsiaMed, The Confederation of Italian Entrepreneurs Worldwide, based in Istanbul.
She started her career in Prysmian Group as Sales & Marketing Director of Prysmian Italy and Switzerland, becoming later Chief Executive Officer in India and then Global Vice President of Energy & Infrastructure. In the past 2 years she was Chief Executive Officer of Prysmian Turkey, the Prysmian Group company listed on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
From June 1st, she is Regional Chief Executive Officer of MEAT – Middle East, Africa, Turkey & India.
Co-founder of the Italian Angels for Women Association - the first group of female business angels in Italy, for the development of female start-ups, promoted by AXA and Impact Hub Milan -, she is a partner of Doorway, an equity crowdfunding platform for business angels and investors, and co-founder and Board Member of 'Operation Vivere', the non-profit organization that supports technological and scientific development in cancer surgery through minimally invasive interventions at the Grande Ospedale Metropolitano Niguarda in Milano.
In 2018 at Palazzo Marino in Milan she was awarded the 'Merit and Talent' Award, dedicated to women who are changing businesses, and in the last two years she has been awarded by the Turkish Ekonomist for being among 'The 50 most powerful women CEO of Turkey '.
From January 1st ,2024 Cinzia Farisè is the Power Grid Executive Vice President in Prysmian.
